MD residency program every year takes intake of 8 students. MD residency is a 3 year. MD residents are trained so that they become a competent comprehensive ophthalmologist who can take care of emergencies, handle OPD cases, refer the needful cases, and do simple basic eye surgeries. The residents are involved in providing ophthalmic services like OPD, OT and inpatient and emergency management. They are actively involved in research, which includes thesis & project work besides other grant research. The academic and research activities and training is done with the help of lectures, presentations by students & faculties, seminars, conferences and training workshops for research methodology.
